The previous two DRS locomotive railtours proved popular and requests for another are regularly received. Therefore, for 2021, we present ‘The Blue Boys Merrymixer’.

The confirmed routing is:
Class 68 Eastleigh – Basingstoke – Reading West – Didcot Parkway – Banbury – Leamington Spa – Coventry – Birmingham International – Stechford – Bescot Up and Down Goods (Reverse & Attach Class 37’s to head): – Soho junctions – Birmingham NS  – Water Orton – Wichnor Jn – Coalville line- Knighton Up and Down Goods Loop – Wigston Junction – Hinckley – Nuneaton – Water Orton – Sutton Park – Walsall – Bushbury Junction – Stafford – Crewe (break 1425-1625).

Class 66 to haul Crewe – Gresty Green Through Siding – Nantwich – Crewe Bank Up Goods Loop – Shrewsbury – Cosford Up Goods Loop – Oxley Up Goods Loop – Oxley Chord – Bushbury Down Goods Loop – Penkridge – Stafford Up and Down Goods Loop (Reverse & Detach class 66. Attach class 88 to haul): Stafford – Wolverhampton, Soho Junctions – Perry Barr Junctions – Bescot (Reverse & Detach Class 88 and attach Class 57(s) to haul): – Bescot – Aston – Birmingham International – Coventry – and back to Eastleigh as per outward journey.

Table for Two seats are available at a supplement of £35 per person in First Class

On the outward journey a single Part Fare will be £15 between each adjoining joining station from Eastleigh to Leamington Spa. From Coventry onwards it will be the full fare. One the return journey, Part Fares will be available from Coventry to Eastleigh, again at £15 per single between adjoining stations. If you would like to join the train, please go to the Buffet Car and speak to one of our stewards.
