SUNDAY

An exciting steam hauled trip, featuring a run across the Somerset Levels, a climb over the Blackdown Hills into Devon and a water stop at Exeter. We head down the Exe Estuary and along the famed sea-wall through Dawlish, up the Teign Estuary and then an all out attack on the formidable South Devon Banks.  After a brief photo stop at Plymouth our train crosses Brunel’s Royal Albert Bridge to reach Cornwall for the afternoon’s options:-

Option A – Liskeard (1220/1805) for the scenic Looe branchline (pay the fare locally on the day – GWR service to Looe departs 1248 arrivesReturns Looe 1642 arrives Liskeard 1710)

Option BBodmin Parkway (1240/1745) for the Bodmin & Wenford Railway (B&WR) (pay the fare locally on the day – B&WR departs 1300 arrives Bodmin General 1320. B&WR last train arrives Bodmin Parkway 1537)

Option C  – Par (1300/1730) for buses (included in the excursion fare) to
