In view of the ongoing restrictions and uncertainty around the COVID-19 situation we have, very reluctantly, decided to cancel The Lakes & Ratty Explorer that had been rescheduled for Saturday, 8 August.
We have written to all the passengers booked on the train offering them a full refund.
We hope to be able to organise the excursion again in the future, on a date yet to be determined. As soon as we have any further information we will be in touch with those people who were booked on the original train.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause, but our customers’ health is paramount to us in these unprecedented times.
The Booking Office is currently closed because of the Pandemic and we are working from home, so please bear with us if responses/refunds take a little longer than usual.
We are looking forward to being able to welcome passengers onto our trains again when this situation is all over.
