Saturday 2 September 2023 – The Cornish Explorer
As you may or may not be aware a rail strike has unfortunately been called for the date of our train on Saturday 2 September.
Following investigations over the last 24 hours we have been advised that, as a result of this industrial action, the majority of joining stations will be closed in one or both directions on this date.
We are very grateful to the third parties who have worked very hard since the strike was announced to find a resolve and have managed to get an alternative date of Saturday 14th October. The train will run as advertised, except we are now unable to pick up or set down at both Chippenham and Bath Spa.
If you have booked on this train and the new date is not suitable, please contact us at the Pathfinder Booking Office, by phone, letter or email, no later than Thursday 31st August and we will happily transfer your booking to an alternative railtour, or issue a full refund. If we have not heard from you by this date, we will assume you are happy with the new date and you will receive the timings and your seating allocation 4-5 days before travel.
Please also note that a letter has been posted out to all passengers explaining the situation.
